Sierra found this cactus pad on the floor at school and brought it home to me. I put it in a pot and have been waiting to see if it will shrivel up or not. Today I found proof that Floor Cactus (that’s her name) is GROWING!!!
Day14: Our final day in the EU. We started with a walking tour that included Sainte-Chapelle, Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter. We ended by heading up into the Eiffel Tower. Rain ruined our plans to watch the sunset so instead we enjoyed some overpriced snacks.
Day13: I cried viewing Impressionist masterpieces at Musee d’Orsay. We also visited the Louvre and took a boat tour alone the Seine which included a sparkling Eiffel Tower.
Day 12: We spent the entire day exploring Versailles and didn’t come close to seeing everything. The special treat was that many of the fountains were running.
Day 9: We traveled to Fussen to see the mountains and it did not disappoint! This town was so cute! We also walked to the Austrian border and rode a slide down the side of a mountain.
Day 8: I was too busy having fun in Munich to remember to take photos. We visited a science museum in the morning and the English gardens in the afternoon. We got to wait out a thunderstorm in the gardens while watching people surf in the river. The first photo is of the theater that once belonged to the Wittelsbach family (we toured it on day 7). The second photo is inside the English gardens.
Day 7: We watch the famous glockenspiel in Marienplatz, I learned about a new type of piano called a giraffe piano, and I found a VERY expensive dirndl.
