“I remember being 5 years old and watching my mother apply her skin regimen step by step in complete awe. Something about the process fascinated me to the point that I would get in trouble for sneaking into my mothers products and applying them like she did. “These are expensive products that aren’t for children” she would say. She just seemed so satisfied and happy after her skin regimen and I wanted a piece of it. It transformed her. Like she was glowing from within.
Many years later she would tell me stories of how her mother, my grandmother, would create salves, ointments, and elixirs from plants, flowers, herbs, roots, and seeds depending on what needed healing. She passed down these remedies that truly helped us growing up. From poison ivy and bronchitis to hyperpigmentation and clearing the aura from negativity. She taught me that nature has all the healing we need. We just need to be intentional in how we create.
