Pulling inspiration from this year’s Met Gala theme, ‘Black Dandyism’, and the visual world of
@doechii ’s Alligator Bites Never Heal, we wanted to celebrate Black fashion and aesthetics in it’s rightful camp glory bold, expressive, and unapologetic.
But beyond the spectacle, we also wanted to honor the ever present elegance and regal essence that has existed across our cultures for generations.
The gold and headwrap reflects cultural pride, while the lashes nod to Doechii’s visual world , beautifully embodied by
@bantublacks and captured through the lens of
@jesseclarkart , bringing the vision to life. A nod to our history, our creativity, and our ability to redefine luxury on our own terms.
