The 7,000

Many of us know the story of Prophet Elijah, when he thought he was the only one left, doing the right thing.
He was even ready to quit, until God opened his eyes and revealed to him that 7,000 people never bowed to Baal (1 Kings 19:18).
Now, here’s the thing, brethren...
God didn’t say they were out there shouting His name for all to hear. No. He said they didn’t bow to Baal.
Elijah, being human, couldn’t see them because these 7,000 weren’t necessarily making noise or publicly declaring their faith in God.
They probably didn’t even call out the name of God in public spaces. But deep inside, they had never given their hearts to the idols of this world.
Now this is for you:
Are you part of the 7,000 in this generation?
So, why are you still hiding Jesus?
Why are you not shouting His name everywhere you go?
Elijah thought he was alone, but many today are pretending to be "neutral."
Social media is flooded with people who claim not to pick sides...
Some don’t even mention Jesus at all, while others have long forgotten Him.
When you refuse to bow to Baal, let the world know you are a child of Jesus!
Don’t hide it. Don’t blend in with the crowd.
Stand up and speak out!
Proclaim Jesus with your mouth.
Let the world know what He has done for you.
Don’t be like the 7,000 who remained silent. They didn’t openly stand for God, even though they didn’t worship Baal.
Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 10:33: “But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”
If you're not publicly declaring Jesus, ask yourself:

JESUS IS LORD!
Grace is powerful, but grace is not casual.
One of the quiet dangers in the Christian walk is becoming comfortable with what God is calling us to repent of.
Repeating sin without repentance slowly hardens the heart, dulls spiritual sensitivity, and weakens intimacy with God.
Unrepented sin doesn’t usually start loudly. It begins subtly; excuses, delays, “God understands,” or “I’ll stop later.”
But sin that is entertained eventually becomes a master. What we refuse to confront today will control us tomorrow.
God is patient, but patience is not permission. Repentance is not about shame; it is about restoration. The Holy Spirit convicts not to condemn us, but to draw us back to life, clarity, and freedom.
If you feel uncomfortable reading this, pause. That discomfort may be mercy. God is inviting you back; not to punish you, but to rescue you.
Don’t normalize what Jesus died to destroy.
📖 Reflect on this:
“Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!” — Romans 6:1–2
“He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” — Proverbs 28:13
Say this prayer sincerely:
Lord Jesus, search my heart. Reveal anything I have tolerated that grieves You. I repent of every known sin and every hidden compromise. Cleanse me, restore my sensitivity, and strengthen me to walk in obedience. I choose freedom over familiarity with sin. Amen.
Yet to Submit to Jesus?
Beloved, repentance begins with surrender. Without Christ, sin rules. With Christ, sin loses its power. Today is your moment to return.
Pray this:
Lord Jesus, I believe You died and rose again for me. I turn away from sin and turn fully to You. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. I surrender my life to You. Amen.
