This year's theme for National Mental Health Week is “Come Together, Canada: Stronger connections, better mental health." At a time when a lot can seem uncertain in the world, staying connected with one another matters more than ever. Coming together to support those who may be struggling is a shared responsibility. It can be as easy as sending a quick text to check-in, or asking a co-worker to take a coffee break together. Listening can help, too. 👉 Visit the link in our bio for a list of helpful resources for apprentices, tradespeople and anyone in B.C. who needs support. Let’s come together because mental health matters. 🤝 #SkilledTradesBC #ComeTogetherCanada

Meet Grace, a carpentry apprentice who recently joined the Halalt-Citizen Design Build Project on Vancouver Island.🛠️Through this initiative, which has evolved from home rebuilding into an innovative joint training and apprenticeship program, Grace has been able to gain hands-on experience needed to excel in her trade. She's currently working on a two-story home build and learning the craft day by day. Her favorite part of the job is working with her hands and focusing on the finer details that go into finishing a home.🏠 💬 "There's so many things I could do. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can and then deciding what I want to focus on."
