Join us for an engaging conversation with legendary African American, skateboarding, youth culture, and sports photographer Atiba Jefferson (@atibaphoto ). Recognized as one of the most influential visual storytellers of his generation, Atiba has captured defining images of icons such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, as well as musical artists including Interpol, Turnstile, and Tyler, the Creator. As the director of the ESPN-produced, Emmy-nominated, Clio award-winning documentary “Monochrome,” he continues to expand his impact across mediums, exploring the intersections of culture, sport, music, and community. With a client roster that includes cultural leaders like A$AP Rocky, Pharrell, and the late Virgil Abloh, Atiba effortlessly merges all aspects of youth culture into commercial and editorial work for brands such as Vans, Nike, Thrasher, Reebok, Oakley, Off White, and the Olympic Games. At this event, the Canon Ambassador will discuss a retrospective of his extensive career, while offering insight into the future of skateboarding, media industries, entrepreneurship and opportunities for meaningful social change. Moderated by Dr. Neftalie Williams (@neftaliedotcom ) and DGK Skateboards athlete Adrianne Sloboh (@adrianne.sloboh ), this is an event you don’t want to miss! Our director is honoured to return to the same team that sponsored him during his earliest days! Long live, Cleveland! REPOST FROM @ridecleveland New! Neftalie Williams Jazz Model (2025) In the fall of 2024, Christopher Harrington @cj.harrington approached me about doing a few reissues of the old Cleveland graphics. Those conversations led to me selling him the company outright; he, in turn, retained me as the creative director and co-team manager at the new company. We are proud to introduce the new Neftalie Williams @neftaliedotcom model, an updated version of the old Blue Series I (aka, the original “Nef 1”) with Neftalie’s signature added to it as a thank you for his dedication to the company. #sdsu #sdsu #skatesdsu
