Went to Italy in September and it was extremely good! The people, the wine, the sights — well done, Italians. Great job also to @dmnddv my No. 1 travel boy who got mad only once when he didn’t have a meal at a specific time.
Oh, Wrigs!Â
What a short but hilarious ride I got to enjoy with this pup (the final five years of a 17-year life!). I was *crazy* about dogsitting him — putting the poor beagle through photoshoots, letting him sniff his way through the city, and breaking into his apartment when I locked us out. I loved it so much, in fact, that I adopted my own dog.
(When they eventually became roommates, I frequently reminded Wrigley that he “caused” Dottie anytime she annoyed him.)
While he slowed down this last year, Wrigley still had plenty of personality left in the tank: Racing after Dottie down the hall, climbing atop three dog beds when I vacuumed, and bouncing up and down until I got his dinner in the bowl. I often looked over at the two sleeping dogs in the living room and thought, this is the life.
Thank you for sharing your Lamb Chop with Dottie. Thank you for wiggling yourself into my heart. And thank you for being Dave’s best friend. You’re totally irreplaceable, and we’ll miss your tappy-taps so, so much.
