A short film about manners, or the lack thereof.
Last fall I worked with two of my favorite character designers - Christopher Mauch and Sunniva Fluge Hole for a commercial pitch. We didn't get the job, but we did end up with 6 orphaned monsters that needed a proper showcase. The end result is something I think we can all relate to. Turn the volume up!
As a director I've always been skeptical about investing in spec spots.
I've been sitting on this idea for a year. Finally felt like the AI toolset (and my own wrangling skills) were ready to make something worth sharing.
Would I have loved to shoot this for real with a full crew? Absolutely. But the results got pretty damn close to what I had in my head. Plus I saved $$$ for my experimental Italo-Disco claymation dream.
