I asked @nessdevos to document me in my new home, to celebrate my first apartment by myself and my new chest! This year has been one of massive transformation and I wanted to have a visual reminder of this moment of my life. Having top surgery has allowed me to finally feel at home in my body, and I am so happy to have a space that’s all my own and make it a reflection of myself. Being seen by Ness through the portraits they made is so special and I will cherish these forever 🏳️⚧️💗
Toronto Downtown Fastpitch League (@tdfl_fastpitch ) game coverage on July 22nd 🥎
Normally, I would be playing in the league, but I took this season off for top surgery recovery. I’ve been going to watch most weeks so I decided to take my camera one week and the lighting at this time of day is so magical for sports photography!
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of watching and photographing my partner, Rory’s, jiu-jitsu competition fights 🥋 This was their second competition I’ve watched, their third overall, and their first competition since being promoted to a blue belt last week. Rory’s dedication to their sport (training multiple times a week!) is so admirable. I have lots more to learn about jiu-jitsu but I had a lot of fun cheering them on and taking photos of a new sport!
