Tyler Reed, a British artist and photographer, currently based in NYC, presents a compelling assault on comfort, recognition, empathy, and expectation through his work. Employing unique collage techniques, he carefully crafts selected sections of his photographs to construct intriguing and thought-provoking distortions and exaggerations of facial features. Reed's art pieces consist of a captivating ensemble of paintings and drawings focused on expressionism. By skillfully using shadows and a contrasting palette of black, greys, and white, his abstract collages convey intense emotions, offering audiences a distinctive perspective on human facial features and glimpses of anguish. This will be Tyler's first time exhibiting in Australia.

"Memories fade after every recalling. Whenever I need to preserve something, I communicate it in the manner it needs to be communicated. No matter how hard we try to compartmentalize our thoughts, feelings, pains, and pleasures, soon after, they begin to bleed into one another as we grow. Your story is the only thing unique to you in this modern life - no more, no less." - John You
Claudia Perez's design practice relies on elements of deconstruction to reinterpret archetypes through fragmented outcomes and design methods that encourage versatility, creativity, and sustainable practice. The philosophies of her practice are founded on the notions of constant change, a permanent state of transition, and ‘work in progress’. These ideas are manifested through epitomised garments with interrupted forms, destabilised structures, and perverted functionality of signifiers recognisable in displaced positions. The intention and hope for her practice is to inevitably evolve over time to align with both external shifts as well as personal discoveries.

Grace Dinham is a shoemaker who works from her studio based in Naarm, with a Cert-4 diploma from RMIT in shoemaking. She focuses on creating shoes from re-purposed offcuts, thereby minimising waste and enabling new designs to emerge that transcend barriers of the expected. The craftmanship, meticulous eye to detail, and imaginative creativity place her shoes into a genre of their own. The shoes enhance the foot and the body and allow for ease of walking and promotion of healthy footwear, which has its own distinctive aesthetic and construction techniques. Her imaginative blending of material to shoe form permits the natural material to retain its connection to its specific animal donor whilst relaying historical undertones to how shoes were made constructed in the past. Here, basic combines with sophistication, beauty with functionality, and creativity with elegance.
