01 | life's a peach and you keep on living 🍑✨️ I was at yin yoga today when I recalled an analogy I'd read about the nature of sixth lines. "Sixth lines are like peaches. They bruise the second you look at them, and they barely survive the trip from the store to the kitchen." As I twisted myself into different poses, desperately seeking relief from the physical pain in my body, I couldn't help but smile as a new insight clicked into place. Because how apt is that? As a 4/6 who had their Saturn return earlier this year, I've never felt so bruised and broken. My body literally doesn't work some days. It's a miracle that I am still here after the trials and tribulations of my third-line process. As a sixth line, I'm designed to look to what is beyond the hexagram, to the new mutation that is possible. And with that comes so much psychological, physical, and emotional pain as my whole being forcibly shifts into new knowing. Life has kicked me up the backside since I was born and it hurts A LOT. No question. I have bumped into many things and I don't have the protection a third line has - hence the bruised peach analogy. Today I am grateful that even though I am bruised, I've survived the trip from the store to the kitchen so far.
