The How to Start launch event in Brooklyn was a little… unusual for a book talk. A fill for those who couldn’t make it– and in case you can join me in Miami (🏃🏽♀️tonight🏃🏽♀️), DC (🚨Tues🚨) Philly or LA or other cities.
Hundreds of us gathered to discuss this book and the question: when so much is broken, how do you start?
Priya Parker, Esther Perel and I dug into the guts of the book.
Then, instead of a standard Q/A, we did *business.* Young people shared specific queries about how to start. One wants to be in radio. Another is seeking a job in sports journalism.
We made a plan for them to meet up in various corners of the room with members of the generous crowd who gave them concrete advice, contact info and introductions.
