Scaling to 7 figures takes skill. Scaling to 8 figures takes a completely different version of you. In this conversation with Chandler Bolt, we talk about one of the hardest lessons entrepreneurs eventually learn: Every problem in your business starts with you. Your leadership. Your communication. Your standards. Your ability to make decisions. Your ability to build people. At a certain level, the bottleneck is no longer strategy. It’s the founder. If you’re trying to scale right now, this episode will challenge the way you think about growth and leadership. ⚠️The biggest mistake in business… Executing against the wrong opportunity. The biggest opportunities in business usually look too small, too boring, or too obvious at first. That’s exactly why almost nobody executes on them. Everyone wants to be the next YouTuber. The next SaaS founder. The next overnight success story. Meanwhile… Some of the best business opportunities are hiding in problems that seem “too simple” to matter. That’s the trap. Most people overcomplicate entrepreneurship because they’re searching for the perfect idea instead of finding an idea they can execute against relentlessly. The truth? A lot of wealth is built solving boring problems consistently. Not glamorous. Not viral. Not sexy. Just valuable. In this conversation with Chandler Bolt, we break down why so many entrepreneurs stay stuck chasing shiny objects while overlooking opportunities sitting right in front of them. A few ideas from this episode: • Most people want exciting ideas more than profitable ones • Simplicity often creates the biggest moat • The “obvious” opportunity is usually ignored because it feels too accessible • Execution beats idea quality more often than people realize • You do not need the perfect idea to start • You need an idea you can execute against better than almost anyone else If you’re building a business right now, this episode will probably change how you evaluate opportunities. For years, I thought taking a walk in the park was laziness... If I wasn’t at my computer… closing deals, serving clients, building funnels, creating content, networking, or pushing harder… …I felt like someone was getting ahead of me. So I worked 16-hour days. And while hard work matters… eventually you realize the best entrepreneurs are not obsessed with working MORE. They’re obsessed with leverage. That’s one of the reasons this conversation with Kyle Gray hit so hard. Because speaking and storytelling are two of the highest leverage skills an entrepreneur can build. But most people write them off as “soft skills” and focus on tech, automation, AI, and sales training. Being able to communicate a message in a compelling way is the most underrated skill in business. Soft skills like storytelling and speaking have a direct impact on top and bottom line. They can: ✅ Close clients ✅ Move an audience ✅ Raise capital ✅ Recruit talent ✅ Build trust at scale ✅ Attract big opportunities That’s leverage. The entrepreneur who can clearly communicate ideas… tell compelling stories… and move people emotionally… will always have an edge. Especially in a world where AI is making information abundant. Information alone is becoming commoditized. Human connection is not fakeable or AI-able. The future doesn’t belong to the people working the longest hours. It belongs to the people who can move other humans. LIKE if this resonates. COMMENT “LEVERAGE” and I’ll DM you the full episode. SHARE this with an entrepreneur who needs to hear this. ⚠️ A big mistake most founders make… Is thinking communication is just about marketing and sales. It’s not. Communication is leadership. Because if you can’t clearly articulate the vision… you’ll always become the bottleneck. Your team can only move as clearly as they understand where you all are going. And one of the biggest shifts in business happens when you stop building a company centered around YOU making more money… …and start building a mission people actually want to help build. That’s when everything changes. Your team starts making better decisions. People take ownership. Delegation gets easier. Momentum compounds. Because they don’t just understand the task. They understand the WHY behind the task. On this episode of SixFig Podcast, Kyle Gray breaks down why storytelling and vision communication are some of the highest leverage skills an entrepreneur can build. LIKE if this resonates. 🚨Most entrepreneurs don’t have an offer problem. 🗣️They have a communication problem. Because the best ideas in the world still fall flat if people don’t feel them. On this episode of SixFig, I sat down with THE Kyle Gray to talk about why storytelling is one of the most underrated and highest-leverage skills you can build right now. Not marketing. Not sales. Not the latest hyped up growth “hacks.” Storytelling. A concept thousands of years old. That’s engrained in our DNA. Your ability to communicate what you believe… in a way that deeply resonates with the people you’re meant to help… Is a superpower. Because we’re entering a world where AI can generate infinite content… But humans still desire connection with other humans. And the creators, founders, and leaders who learn how to tell stories that create emotion, clarity, trust, and movement… will win, long term. This is the best time in history to be a creator. But only if you choose to build the hard skills that most people will avoid and shortcut. Lots of people will make a quick buck leaning on AI scripts and social media clones… But the people who will have staying power… will be the ones who choose to do hard things, Even when there’s an easier option. LIKE if this resonates. COMMENT “STORY” and I’ll DM you the full episode. SHARE this with someone building their message, brand, or business. ⚠️If you get the order wrong… you pay for it later. Most people don’t fail because they’re not capable… they fail because they skip steps. Not intentionally… They just follow advice for businesses not at their stage. Ryan Lang broke down the 4 stages of The Path to Mastery: Startup Stability Success Mastery Sounds simple. Almost no one actually follows it. They try to implement Scale strategies… while they’re still in Startup mode. Without ever building through Stability. That’s where things start to crack. • Revenue comes in… then disappears • Systems never fully lock in • Teams get hired too early or too late • Growth feels chaotic instead of controlled And eventually… you’re forced to go backwards and rebuild what you skipped. Because business isn’t about speed. It’s about sequence. If you get the order wrong… you pay for it later. If you get it right… everything compounds. If you’re building and serious about building big, this conversation is essential. The people who actually win… stay longer than everyone else expects. He thought he’d make six figures in 90 days. It took closer to 3 years. That gap right there… that’s where most people quit. Or worse… where they chase “faster” and build something that crashes as fast as it takes off. Because fast success has a cost most people miss until it's too late... • Weak foundations that crack under pressure • Skills that never fully develop • Easy wins that disappear just as fast • Growth you can’t sustain or repeat Ryan Lang has seen it all, and helped 1,000+ coaches and entrepreneurs shortcut their learning curve in building the sales skillset... High-ticket sales wasn’t the shortcut… It was the crucible that forged a valuable skill, and the struggle to figure it out is the exact reason why he's qualified and so good at training it... Hands-on, in-the-trenches, experience... Cannot be substituted. And the real question is: Do you want fast money, evaporates as easily as it comes? or to build something that actually lasts and has impact? Are you even an entrepreneur… if you’re afraid of sales? Entrepreneurs must be constantly selling... Selling themselves to keep going when it gets tough. Selling their team members on the vision. Selling prospects on the product or service. Most people struggling to build a business… Are avoiding the one thing that actually grows it. Sales. And to build big. You need to replicate your ability to sell as the founder into a process that others can effectively follow. Here’s the truth Ryan Lang shared… You don’t need a sales team to hit 7 figures. But you won’t hit 8 without one. That’s where everything breaks. • Founders become the bottleneck • Revenue plateaus with no clear reason • “More leads” stops fixing the problem • And scaling feels heavier, not easier Because sales isn’t just closing scripts and sales tracks… It’s structure. It’s leadership. It’s relationships and communication. Most people wait too long to really understand how to create an effective sales team, not just focused on “closing” and hitting revenue and commission goals, but a sales mechanism that actually builds a business and brand. Life’s short... Sarah Laws learned that at 21… losing her husband on her 1-year anniversary. Me, I lost my friend and former business partner at 25. Chances are… you’ve lost someone close to you too. An experience like that can crush you. And it can become the fuel behind your mission, your impact, your purpose. Because life is so short... Clarity isn’t optional. It’s the whole game. In a world where AI makes building anything easier… most people will jump from thing to thing. Chasing the next shiny object. Starting over. Never building anything that creates real traction. So what actually works? Get clear on your own definition of Success. Decide what you want. Design the right vehicle that gets you there (for certain). Stick with it long enough to win. Not a moonshot. Not constant resets. Life’s too short to work hard on the wrong things. Entrepreneurs are the only breed that will say no to 40 hours a week… just to work 90. Somewhere along the way, we lost the plot. Because you didn’t start your business to build two full time jobs. You started it for freedom. But most entrepreneurs are making unnecessary sacrifices… chasing an imaginary finish line that may never come. “I’ll slow down when I hit X.” “I’ll get my time back after this next level.” Month after month. Year in and year out. It never comes. On this episode of the Six Fig Podcast, Sarah Laws challenges the default path most entrepreneurs follow. More complexity. More team. More moving parts. When in reality… A clean, profitable, multi-six-figure business with less complexity is one of the most underrated outcomes in business. Because a successful business isn’t about how much you make… it’s about how much life it allows you to live. If you’ve been carrying the weight of your business for a long time, this one will hit. Most people think the advantage is more information. Faster answers. Better prompts. Smarter tools. But that’s not what separates the people who win. Because now… Everyone has a genie in their pocket. And when information becomes infinite… It stops being the advantage (information was never actually the advantage, because information without implementation is useless) On this episode of the Six Fig Podcast, I sat down with Sarah Laws to talk about what actually matters next. And it’s not what most people think. It’s proximity. It’s perspective. It’s the rooms you choose to be in. Because no one person can keep up with how fast AI is moving. But a group can. A community can. A room full of people… thinking differently, moving faster, and holding a higher standard… That’s where the real edge is. This isn’t about networking. It’s about upgrading how you think. Expanding what you believe is possible for you. If you’re building but know you’re capable of more, don’t skip this episode. Most people think the answer is out there somewhere… The next diet. The next routine. The next tool. The next expert. But health doesn’t work like that. And neither does business. What you build on the outside… is a reflection of what’s happening on the inside. Your habits. Your rituals. The way you talk to yourself. The patterns running in your mind. That’s the real driver. 4 lessons to sit with: • Constant searching = scattered energy • Inner tension shows up in your decisions • Misalignment drains performance faster than effort can fix • Clarity doesn’t come from more input. It comes from awareness The answer is much closer than you think. Not louder. Quieter. Not external. Internal. Step back. Get still. Listen. Because when you’re aligned with your passion, purpose, and strengths… That’s your advantage. That’s your energy. That’s your edge. Don’t let outer noise… turn into inner resistance. The fastest path forward isn’t adding more. It’s removing what’s not you. This isn’t theory. This is the work we do every day with our clients and events at PersonalBrand.com… Helping high performers get back to their native genius, lean into their strengths, and build from that place to unlock the next level of performance in their business.
