Featuring recent paintings by Gadigal based artists Emily Galicek and Kansas Smeaton.
Though disparate in subject and style, Galicek and Smeaton’s works are bound together by an innate fascination with the decorative arts.
Leisure and Decoration runs till Sunday 17th of July. We hope to see you there.
We (Tom, Sep and Mik - not pictured) are so incredibly proud of Consuming Passions and the caliber of work produced by @bindisteel .
Having worked with Bridget at a limited capacity over the past 8 years, we were extremely excited to see her realise a solo exhibition with us.
She has more than delivered, and we hope we have done her justice.
Huge shoutout goes to her partner @howlin_alvarez for his consistent support, as well as her friends and family who have responded so enthusiastically to this exhibition.
Referencing interior decorating tropes and using non-traditional methods that lean into “low” culture and kitsch, Stehli presents miniature paintings that offer a new approach to traditional portrait painting. Where her work often veers between fine art, symbolism and craft, Consuming Passions also explores the limits of form and structure to create a new visual language.
Consuming Passions closes this Sunday.
we hope to see you for the final weekend.

Stehli presents a series of vibrantly coloured portraits of adult entertainers, inspired by archives of erotic photography from a bygone era. Through cropping and recontextualising the source material, these devotional and reverent paintings soften the subject matter, emulating an alternative and empathetic gaze which prioritises male vulnerability.
Consuming Passions by @bindisteel closes this Sunday.
Drop by Friday - Sunday 12-4pm to view the exhibition on it’s final weekend.
