The #ThrowForwardFriday presents the next event from @lion.hed.events coming on 23rd May to @rnrcleeds !! Rooms Full A Culture is the only event in Leeds, where you can find 2 systems playing in their own room all night long, and it will only be happening twice this year so don't miss out. likkle_warrior_hifi_ will be powering the Unite The People Room, with @fabricatedlayla , Ras Iyasu, @ras.tenda and @dublawsound all coming on down. Quad 1 soundsystem will also power the Roots Ontop Of Dub Room, which will feature @way2dark4u , Stix, @be1ng.0ne and @sisstarselecta ! There will also be some lovely wholesome food available from @empoweringconscioushealth369 , artwork from @freakstylez and @fabricatedlayla and crafts from Gary Judah. Wow, what can I say!? Well, as we begin... We had such a good session last night at the @HydeParkBookClub , all selectas were on great form, the energy was high and the horn section topped it off!! It was so good to be joined by @Sebastian.Rea , his first time playing on a soundsystem, so really started to find his flow towards the end. It was the first time @Be1ng.0ne brought in some brass too and it won't be the last. @SisStarSelecta and Sista Emma both came and shared some top tunes, filling the room with Love and Gratitude as @ImpressaSound got the year off to the great start, as we came together to bring one of the best sessions we have had so far. The #ThrowForwardFriday looks forwards to the 21st of November when the United CommUnity Care Fayre by @Lion.hEd.Events returns to the wonderful building of @LeftBank for the second time, 145 Cardigan Road, LS6 1LJ. This event comes in 2 sections. The first part will bring loads of local community groups, community care organisations, shops and a programme of workshops together to help connect the community.  The second part will bring @InnerFireSoundsystem and friends along to spread some wholesome vibrations for all to come together in unity and upliftment to round off the event. Come join the celebrations at Pubdub’s 10th Birthday Party! Pure vibes from start to finish on the mighty Reaction Soundsystem. Treekle - Early 2000s DnB & ragga jungle vinyl set Jedi Pete - Steppas, dub, reggae Jon Jeff - High Pressure Sis Star Selecta - Rootikal Expression Treekle will be smashing out early 2000s DnB to modern ragga jungle. He’s been digging out his classic jump up records by the likes of Bad Company, Dillinja, Andy C, Virus Records, Sub-Focus and (early) Pendulum, as well as selecting the finest white-label jungle mashups. Pure old-skool vinyl mixing, just like back int day. Jedi Pete is dusting off some of the old vinyl for a selection of old classics which were on heavy rotation during the 2010’s with Reaction Sound, moving into some some more recent releases of dub/reggae musical niceness. Music with a message. Jon Jeff will be brining is usual tip-top selection for your musical delectation - old skool High Pressure Cru he’s got a killa collection of tunes to big into. Sis Star Selecta - a rising star on the scene working alongside Being One to bring us the regular session at HP Book Club Rootikal Expression Sessions, along with many other events - she bring a top selection of roots and dub every time. Pubdub launched in 2015 at the Chemic Tavern, providing low entry-fee or free dances to Leeds community of bass lovers. It is run by a team of volunteers so proceeds are put back into community causes. The last few years have seen £500 donated to Camfed (Campaign for Female Education). Also £400 donated to support Hyde Park Unity Day. The Reaction Soundsystem Crew have been putting on dances around the Leeds area for nearly 20 years. The handbuilt Reaction Soundsystem is known throughout the dub scene for crystal clear, hifi quality sound and chest rattling heavyweight bass. The rig has travelled all over the country for festivals, free parties and community centres, with the Reaction DJs providing only positive vibes.
