Yesterday’s Ink & Intentions event 📿🤍
The sisters @faizopaints & @rekiyaa_ delivered a beautiful workshop centred around reconnecting with Allah and reflecting on the importance of dhikr in our daily lives. The 3/5 part of our ‘Return to Allah’ series.
The evening began with rotating activities including a calligraphy demonstration, reflection discussions and an action plan activity where everyone wrote letters to themselves and reflected on their intentions to better their relationship with Allah SWT moving forward.
Through the discussions, we spoke about Allah’s names, the ways we call upon Him throughout the day, and where we feel closest to Him in remembrance.
Towards the end of the evening we had Qur’an recitation, including verses from Surah Al Hashr:
هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ۖ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
“He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” Qur’an 59:22
