SIMplosion is a concert and expo night, aswell as the release of Sio’s Orange Core’s album Implosion, inspired by The Sims video games; simulated lives, digital decoration, and early online communities. On this night bitcrush fanclub <3 explores how we can find eachother within modern social structures of individualism and self optimalisation. Connect by creating a collective experience, or, well, multiplaying a simulation together for a couple of hours.

Cultuurcentrum Datamosh is een samensmelting van Nederlandse en Belgische kunst en muziek, ontstaan vanuit een gedeelde fascinatie voor de ‘third space’: plekken zoals lokale cultuurcentra en internetcafés, waar je samenkomt zonder iets te moeten.
Door al onze data te moshen verbinden we online met offline, Nederland met België, en de makers met het publiek.
Met live sets van Sio’s Orange Core, NANO, Luid met jou, Zegenmij@25 en Orchestra, een DJ-set van pirko, en een markt en expositie verspreid door de ruimte.
Met de opkomst van social media zijn fysieke ontmoetingsplekken langzaam verdwenen en vervangen door digitale ruimtes die áltijd aan staan, maar zelden echt collectief voelen. Tijdens Cultuurcentrum Datamosh brengen we dat gevoel terug met experimentele popmuziek en persoonlijke kunst: een avond die aanvoelt als een plek waar je gewoon kan binnenlopen, blijven hangen en iets nieuws kan ontdekken.
Geïnspireerd door early internetcultuur, Gen Z nostalgie, de grenzen van popmuziek, en de liminal space tussen digitale en menselijke connectie.

im telling more about this song:
i want to decrease focus on the release of only this end product. through all of this i learned that immersing myself in making a piece of art is an amazing experience, regardless of the outcome.
the true joy is in the process, and it becoming a finished thing just means i can start a new thing again :D.
we cannot yet escape from the culture of social media highlights but this is my effort of telling a nuanced story! this song called DEOTHERONE is exactly about that:
feeling like if i lose track of what is expected of me, somebody else will take my place.
i learned that my looks, needs and wants might be unconventional, but that's exactly what makes my art what it is. i can only be the best at being myself. 🥸🤓 im definitely much more comfortable on stage these days. wanna see? show is tomorrow!!! link in bio.
