Major throwback to 2015! ✨ Rewinding to a true milestone: SIOC’s 30th Anniversary concert, Innisai Ninaivugal – Musical Memories. 🎻🎤 This night was a beautiful tapestry of our 3-decade evolution. We took the audience on a journey starting from our deep roots in traditional Carnatic and Hindustani music, moving through innovative A cappella and cinema raagas, and culminating in experimental global fusion, with talented multi-ethnic musicians sharing the stage with us. The entire musical voyage was beautifully elevated by the inclusion of captivating dance forms 💃🎶 A night entirely dedicated to 30 years of music, reflections, and aspirations. Were you in the audience for this unforgettable evening? Drop a 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ in the comments or share your favorite memory! #WorldMusic #SIOC #Throwback #InnisaiNinaivugal #SingaporeArts

Nalla Kaalam | SIYOC – Festive Fiesta 2025 April, celebrated as Tamil Language Month and marked by the spirit of the Tamil New Year, is a time of renewal, reflection, and cultural pride. In that spirit, SIYOC presents a powerful acapella rendition of the timeless Bharathiyar classic “Nalla Kaalam Varugudhu.” Performed at the Major Concert – Festive Fiesta (Jan 2025) at Festive Arts Theatre, presented in partnership with @temasekfoundation and supported by @nacsingapore , this piece brings to life Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi’s enduring vision of unity, equality, and social awakening. “A good time is coming…” More than a refrain, it is a call toward a future shaped by knowledge, harmony, and shared progress. Inspired by Late M B Srinivasan and augmented by Raja Rajeshwari (both from the Madras Choir), this evocative folk acapella rendition is sure to evoke togetherness. 🎥 Watch the full performance on our YouTube channel: Link pinned in the comments section 👇🏼 A celebration of Tamil heritage and timeless hope — Nalla Kaalam Varugudhu.🌞 #tamilmusic #siyoc #acapella #FestiveFiesta #tamilnewyear

Can you believe it has already been a month? ✨🎶 Exactly one month ago today, our youth wing took the stage for our first gala concert of 2026, "Yuva Rägam - The Melodies of Youth". We are still buzzing from the energy of that night, which celebrated 4 years of incredible growth for the SIYOC. A definite highlight was the spectacular premiere of "Tryst of the Twin Ragas"—a breathtaking original piece composed entirely by our talented youth musicians @random_potatolover @ani20_tkm @si.ddhar.th We were also honored to introduce our new Board Members, Ms Sharmini Chellapandi and Mrs Akila Iyengar to our community during the concert. Welcome to the SIOC family! @akilav.iyengar This concert is presented in partnership with @temasekfoundation to whom we extend our deepest gratitude for helping us treat our audience to several soul-satisfying musical experiences over the past 3 years. A heartfelt thank you to the National Arts Council (NAC) @nacsingapore as well for your unwavering support of our musical journey, and a special shout-out to the NAC officials who graced the event with their presence. @oddlysequential.sl Take a walk down memory lane with us!
