📍 Mt. Pinatubo | Hike for a Cause x Photowalk 🌋📸
First time in Mt. Pinatubo, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful experience. So grateful to have shared this adventure with @sunday.hikeclub and @sinopinas in support of @wavesforwaterphilippines and their mission to bring clean water to communities around the Philippines. 💧
It’s always inspiring being surrounded by passionate, creative people who openly share their love for hiking, travel, photography, and short-filming. This trip reminded me how much I missed photography — and how exciting it feels to slowly pick it up again, while learning to create simple cinematic videos along the way.
Mt. Pinatubo truly feels like a beautiful disaster! The landscapes looked straight out of Jurassic Park, while the 4x4 ride gave Mad Max Fury energy (definitely my favorite part 😂).
Another side quest completed and memories made. Thank you so much for making it happen, @sunday.hikeclub and @sinopinas ! 🌄✨
The Country’s Capital is nice, but I will always trade the city noise for the stillness of nature
It’s amazing what PH landscapes (and a super bumpy 4x4 ride lol) can do.

It felt good to return.
Found myself back on the same trail after almost a decade, only now I’m riding through the dark with a whole new crew. Billions of stars above us, mountain silhouettes surrounding us (dust too, tons of it) that I didn’t manage to capture. Thought it was pure cinema. The sun rose, we trekked to the crater. Images taken along the way. It was a quiet reunion worth waiting for. Almost felt like coming home to something I didn’t realize I missed.
Grateful to @sunday.hikeclub and @wavesforwaterphilippines for creating this space and allowing us to contribute to your cause. ‘Til our next (golden hour) mission!

it’s been 35 years since Mount Pinatubo erupted. 🌋
hard to believe that something so tragic can become so beautiful… but maybe that’s how it really works?
you keep going long enough, and somehow, something good finds its way back. 🌱
MT. BATULAO: Old Trail to New Trail Traverse ⛰️
Went out solo again. I knew the mountain wouldn't be lush and green right now, but the golden ridges are beautiful on their own and my itch to hike was stronger than the dry season heat.

Buhisan Lake
The photos didn’t justify how beautiful this place is in real life. Will definitely come back!
@aruelowen and I actually got lost but luckily these kids saw us and asked if we were heading to the lake and said we should just follow them because they’re going there too, to hunt for fish. Then we just chatted on the way to the lake. The route we took was not the usual route so we were really glad these kids guided us haha
Glad we pushed ourselves to go back and trusted the map and the kids because if not, we wouldn’t see this amazing and peaceful view. They were also very proud and shouted at us when they finally caught a fish 🥹
This was just a really wholesome experience and can’t wait to do more. Uwi kana kay mag saag hike nata! @aruelowen

Climbing Mount Pinatubo recently felt like watching the mountain change personalities throughout the day. From the gentle glow of early morning to the sharp brilliance of the noon sun, every hour revealed a different side of its beauty.
Huge appreciation to @sunday.hikeclub for managing everything so well despite the sudden change of plans. What initially felt uncertain eventually turned into an even better experience for everyone involved.
And this was far more than just a photowalk. Together with @sinopinas and @wavesforwaterphilippines , the hike became a fundraiser effort for communities in need of clean water access. A reminder of the idea, “Do what you love and help along the way.”
That’s the beauty of joining events like this. You come for the mountains and the photos, but you leave with new stories, new lessons, and people you probably would’ve never met otherwise. Somewhere between the trail, the conversations, and the shared experience, strangers slowly become part of the memory too.
