Today, on May 9th, we remember all those who lived through the unimaginable years of the Great Patriotic War.
Those who never came home. Those who returned forever changed. Those who carried loss, courage, silence, and memory through generations.
Ivan prepared Vladimir Vysotsky’s powerful “He Did Not Return from Battle” — a poem and song that speaks not about politics or victory, but about friendship, grief, memory, and the human cost of war.
May we honor the memory of all who suffered by choosing compassion, understanding, and peace.
May future generations know only blue skies above them.
Сегодня, 9 мая, мы вспоминаем всех, кто прошёл через страшные годы Великой Отечественной войны.
Тех, кто не вернулся домой. Тех, кто вернулся навсегда изменившимся. Тех, кто пронёс через жизнь память, боль и силу духа.
Иван подготовил произведение Владимира Высоцкого «Он не вернулся из боя» — очень честное и пронзительное произведение о дружбе, утрате и человеческой памяти.
Пусть память о прошлом помогает нам беречь мир, сострадание и друг друга.

This May 9th, we remember not only soldiers, but also the mothers, families, and loved ones across the former Soviet Union whose hearts carried the weight of the Great Patriotic War long after it ended — now 81 years since Victory Day.
Polina prepared “Ballad of a Mother” by Andrey Dementyev — a deeply moving work inspired by the real story of a mother who, decades after the war, recognized her fallen son in old documentary footage.
It is a reminder that love, grief, and hope live far beyond history books.
May we never have to witness such loss again. May there be peace, kindness, and blue skies for all children and families everywhere.
В этот день, 9 мая, мы вспоминаем не только солдат, но и матерей, семьи и близких по всему бывшему Советскому Союзу, чьи сердца ещё долгие годы несли на себе тяжесть Великой Отечественной войны — прошёл уже 81 год со Дня Победы.
Полина подготовила «Балладу о матери» Андрея Дементьева — очень трогательное произведение, основанное на реальной истории женщины, которая спустя десятилетия узнала своего погибшего сына на кадрах старой кинохроники.
Это напоминание о том, что любовь, боль и надежда живут намного дольше самой истории.
Пусть нам никогда не придётся пережить подобное вновь.
Пусть в мире всегда будут мирное небо, доброта и человеческое тепло.
