It’s pretty interesting to witness how the land of the boot constantly releases great and unique bands, whether it’s Stormlord, Fleshgod Apocalypse, or in today’s post - Sinister Ghost. The common ground between these three mentioned above is the fact that they are not afraid to explore and experiment with different musical elements and cast them into their compositions. So when we talk about Sinister Ghost, we are talking exactly about this bold “Italian” approach, where the world of black metal collides with operatic and orchestral elements, while guitar melodies are carefully woven into each composition. Although Sinister Ghost is not your ''typical by-the-book'' black metal band, and there are moments when their music feels intense, chaotic, or maybe even too avant-garde for some of us, they still deliver the kind of music made for people who want to challenge the status quo and explore beyond the darkest shades of black metal.
