भारतीय सीनियर महिला रग्बी टीम में महक का चयन
उत्तराखंड की प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ी महक चौहान का भारतीय सीनियर महिला रग्बी टीम में चयन हुआ है। मेहक अब भारत की टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए 16–17 मई 2026 को ताशकंद, उज़्बेकिस्तान में आयोजित होने वाली सेंट्रल एंड साउथ एशिया 7s चैंपियनशिप में भाग लेंगी।
महक चौहान इससे पहले भी अंडर-18 भारतीय टीम एवं अंडर-20 भारतीय टीम का हिस्सा रह चुकी हैं तथा ब्रॉन्ज मेडल हासिल कर उत्तराखंड का नाम रोशन कर चुकी हैं। अब उनका चयन सीनियर भारतीय टीम में होने से पूरे प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड रग्बी परिवार में खुशी का माहौल है। यह उपलब्धि प्रदेश के अन्य खिलाड़ियों के लिए भी प्रेरणादायक है।
उत्तरकाशी की रहने वाली महक चौहान ने एक बार फिर अपने शानदार प्रदर्शन से उत्तराखंड का नाम रोशन किया है। उनकी मेहनत, लगन और संघर्ष आज पूरे प्रदेश के लिए प्रेरणा बन चुके हैं।

The 1st anniversary of Himadri Ice Rink was successfully celebrated, marking a significant milestone in the promotion of winter sports in Uttarakhand. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and featured a vibrant showcase of ice skating, figure skating, curling, and ice hockey.
The programme was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Hon’ble Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami @pushkarsinghdhami.uk , Hon’ble Sports Minister Rekha Arya @rekhaaryaoffice , Hon’ble MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, and Special Principal Secretary (Sports) Shri Amit Kumar Sinha, @sinhakamit1972 along with other distinguished guests.
The celebration reflects the state’s continued commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and encouraging wider participation in diverse sporting disciplines.
