If you've ever walked away from a practice session feeling worse than when you started, it's not because you're doing too much. It's because you're doing the wrong kind of work at the wrong time. Practicing on tired or tense folds doesn't build strength. It builds compensation. Your voice starts recruiting the wrong muscles to reach what it can't hit cleanly which is why the "working so hard for nothing" feeling is happening. 🫠 The voice needs the right conditions to adapt, not just more reps. That's where gentle resistance work comes in! Not to push through, but to reset. Comment APP to try the Studio free for 7 days and learn how to use the straw to actually support your recovery. 🎶

Higher notes. Smoother break. Better range. 🎤 This is what consistent straw work sounds like. Comment QUIZ to find the right straw for you!

If reaching for high notes feels like straining, pulling, or chasing... your larynx might be going along for the ride. When the larynx rises with pitch, your extrinsic muscles tighten. That's where the strain comes from. Not lack of ability, but a lack of coordination. The good news? It's trainable. 🙌 Comment APP to try the Studio free for 7 days. 🎤

Okay this is kind of like admitting I have a favorite child but… it’s the Sili. 😅 I MADE all three Singing / Straw products and lately I reach for the Sili every single time. Hands on the keys, no teeth, no fuss... it just fits my life right now. (S/S Original and S/S PRO, if you’re reading this, I love you too, and you’re still great.) Team Sili? Drop a 🎶 below 👇

Regular straws won't cut it 🙅‍♀️ The Singing Straw's smaller diameter creates the resistance your voice actually needs to have better balance, more control, and real power. So if you’re serious about your warmups (or just wanna finally hit that high note), do your voice a favor and grab the real deal 🎤

Your Singing Straw works for more than warm-ups. Try singing a full song through it. 🎤 Real phrases, intervals, and dynamics, all with your vocal tract staying coordinated the whole way through. We’d love to hear what shifts on the other side! Comment APP to try the Studio free for 7 days and I'll walk you through this exact practice. ✨

Some of these took me years to fully believe. Now I'd stake my whole coaching philosophy on them. What's a hill YOU will die on about your voice or your practice? 👇

There are two camps when it comes to breath and singing. One says it's everything. Train it like opera. Massive support, huge breath management, push that sound. The other says you already know how to breathe. You're alive. Move on. Neither is actually helping you. Here's the truth: breath is one part of a 3-part system: power, source, filter. Breath is the power source. It matters. But most contemporary singers don't need to train it like they're stepping onto an opera stage. What you actually need is a low, relaxed inhale that fills from the bottom up. Let your lower ribs expand, your midsection widen. That's what invites real support. No pushing, no squeezing. Just a breath organized enough to carry the phrase. Simple, but not nothing. Want to go deeper? Comment APP to try the Studio app! The first 7 days are free. 🎤
