🌟 @operamrhein MANON LESCAUT 🌟 The news is out! It’s a delight to be returning to the stage of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein for two fantastic productions next season. Continuing my Puccini love affair, I’ll be debuting the title role of Manon Lescaut, directed by Matthew Wild, from February through May 2027.
Then, in July, I will return in concert as the title character of Charpentier’s hidden gem, Didon, the French composer’s lushly-orchestrated retelling of the tale of Dido and Aeneas.
After the unexpected pleasure of singing two jump-ins at the Oper am Rhein this past season, I can’t wait to collaborate with the top-notch artists and team I met there, and to dig into some extraordinary music together. See you soon, Düsseldorf and Duisburg!

@glyndebourne TOSCA 🔪
It is an absolute honor to share that I will be covering the title role in Glyndebourne Festival Opera’s first ever production of Tosca this summer.
I flew straight from Rusalka in California (still not fully rid of the blue body glitter) to beautiful England last week. Preparing the role of Tosca, an opera singer with an unbreakable will who wields her voice with both power and humanity, has already been a massive growth experience and inspiration to me. This was the first Puccini opera I ever heard, and I was absolutely gripped by the spine-tingling, cinematic music and unrelenting pace of the drama. I look forward to deeper exploration of this masterpiece with the wonderful cast and production team here at Glyndebourne.
And rehearsing just steps away from rolling hills filled with frolicking lambs certainly doesn’t hurt! ☀️

🌙 Rusalka’s Song to the Moon
This moment always gives me goosebumps! Rusalka views the moon’s all-seeing light as her only connection to the one she loves, and cries out for it not to hide its light from her.

RUSALKA 🌙 Opening night is here! What a magical production here at @operamodesto , where Rusalka, watched over by the moon, risks everything for the one she loves. Every time I sing this water nymph’s plaintive and powerful melodies, filled with selfless sacrifice, I feel connected to something much bigger than myself.
In bocca al lupo to the fantastic cast and team bringing this Dvořák masterpiece to life.

💕 A birthday weekend photo dump, feat. our Rusalka room run, old town Sacramento, and even a surprise visit from Mom who flew in from Texas 🥰 Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so sweet! 🍰 🎊🧁 (Swipe for a bit of Song to the Moon!)
Birthdays look different now than they did a decade + ago.
I loved our big gestures, parties, and gifts…but life these days usually has us traveling, in the middle of a show, just trying to keep up with life.
So I’m grateful that today we could pause and just be together. Relaxing on a porch overlooking a lake, reading books, playing cards, and eating good food.
Celebrating you is being with you Bree, and I’m so grateful for that privilege.
Happy Birthday.
(I mean your mom did fly in and that was a pretty big surprise, but still….nice and chill 😂🥰)
Cold ice on her skin,
hair like a curtain you’re not meant to open.

🎵 Today’s adventures with @parmarecordings ! It’s been one of the joys of the last five years to work with this amazing team. Among our many new music collaborations, for release on the Navona Records label, was today’s session with the @janackovafilharmonie and conductor Stanislav Vavřínek, directed by @jankosulic . The fantastic individuals on the PARMA team really make these projects a pleasure—and the music definitely helps to keep my musicianship skills sharp! 🤭 Looking forward to our biggest collaboration yet next season!
🤍 @misha.photo is a goddess! It was a blast to bring her vision to life for an icy photoshoot, and to see myself through her lens in these portraits. Misha made me feel so confident, beautiful, and above all, like myself. 🤍 She told me, “You look like a new person from every angle!” What do you think?
