Today, Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga, alongside the Executive Chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Dr Sunshine Myende, and the Chief Executive Officer of TETA, Ms Maphefo Anno-Frempong, will preside over the TETA/NYDA Last Mile Delivery Skills and Employment Programme Graduation and Scooter Handover Ceremony at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban.
The event celebrates 68 young graduates from across KwaZulu-Natal who have successfully completed the programme and are being equipped with skills, certification and tools to participate meaningfully in the transport, logistics and digital delivery economy.

🇿🇦 Disability Rights Awareness Month Launch at the Supported Employment Enterprises, Kimberley
The Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) Sindisiwe Chikunga and the Premier of Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, toured the different workshop of the Supported Employment Enterprises. This organisation is established to provide job opportunities for persons with disabilities and producing quality furniture and public service garments, linen and uniforms currently has 1000 employees. The Premier announced that the province put in an order for 5000 school desks and plans to expand to employ 3000 persons with disabilities.

Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga together with DG Maluleke and officials have a bilateral meeting with Minister Monica Mutsyangwa of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Zimbabwe; to exchange learnings from endeavours as GBVF Response Fund in South Africa and Care Centres in Zimbabwe.

Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga together with DG Maluleke and officials have a bilateral meeting with H.E Huang Xiaowei who currently serves as the Minister and Deputy Head of the National Working Committee on Children and Women of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China to plan further learning and programmatic support with the G20 EWWG and the legacy projects.
Out of this bilateral the All China Women’s Federation committed R2.5 million towards the Disability Nerve Centre, a legacy project of our G20 EWWG Chairship.
