This beautiful client experienced a dog bite to the mouth, leaving visible scarring and pigment loss. Today youâre seeing her second lip session, along with only one scar camouflage treatment to soften and blend the scar.
When working over scar tissue, I always begin conservatively. Scarred skin can be more delicate, more traumatized, and sometimes unpredictable in how it holds pigment. For her first session, we intentionally started softer and lighter to respect the integrity of the tissue and see how her skin would respond. From there, we were able to build safely and strategically.
The goal is never to overwork compromised skin. It is to restore confidence while protecting it.
Seeing the scar blend and the lips regain balanced, healthy color has been such an honour to be part of.

Restorative lip tattoo đď¸
From a dog bite at just 5 years old to now, this client had lived most of her life without a large portion of her top lip. This past year, I had the absolute honour of working with her through a restorative tattooing journey and these are her final results đ¤
We approached this very intentionally. Over the course of 1 year, we completed 3 sessions to slowly build shape, symmetry, and saturation. With previously traumatized skin, itâs never about rushing the result. Itâs about respecting the tissue, working in layers, and allowing the skin to heal properly between each session.
My goal here wasnât just colour. It was restoration, softness, and giving her something that felt like hers again.
