After development in the negative bath, the separate camera rolls are joined together using a splicer/joiner and film cement. A sufficient amount of blank film leader is added for lace up on the scanner. The head and tail ends are labelled and punch holes are added to mark the start and end of picture. Finally the reel is rewinded to the tail and then placed on the ultrasonic cleaner which cleans it back to the head. The reel is ready for scanning!
