Now that I’ve gotten all the shipping done, I put about 25 copies of life on paws on my webstore! They’re bundled with a bookmark and my “what is a soul pet” zine that I handmade on watercolor tiedye paper- no two zines are the same!
Also! If anyone is interested in original art from life on paws, feel free to DM or email me. The entire book was drawn and lettered on boards and I’ve got extra sleeves n envelopes to ship them out ❤️❤️

It has been easier for me to pack and ship over 100 rewards than it has been to sit down and write this update: Life on Paws is here!
The book has been in my hands for a few days, and I’ve experienced so many emotions... all of them positive!!! I literally would stop what I’m doing just to hold it and smile because everything turned out exactly as I’d dreamt: the paper quality has such a good feel and heft to it, the cover stock is silky but still lets the spot gloss stand out. It’s a beautiful book object, and I’m so appreciative to everyone who backed this project and understood every step of the way why I was moving slower than anticipated.
What’s next?
As I mentioned earlier, I have already started fulfilling Kickstarter rewards. I got the book late Thursday afternoon, started packing mailers on Friday, and did ship-outs Saturday. Multiple west coast backers have already messaged me to say they got their order and started reading the book! Yay!!
My goal is to be done by the end of the week with one caveat... pet portraits. I’m moving slower on those than I want to be, but they’ve also been coming out a lot cooler and thought-out than what was originally proposed. The portraits are now ending up closer to 8.5 x 11, when the OG idea was to make them small enough to fit inside the book. If I haven’t already finished your portrait, I’m going to send out your rewards and then get the portrait to you later in the next few weeks. I’d rather make things great than rush ‘em out.
Beyond that? I need to see how much stock I have left in terms of webstore vs local shop distribution. I may need to already plan for a second printing? Idk.. one step at a time. The book is here, it’s amazing, and that’s all that matters.
