I believe that everyone is inherently creative, and creativity can and should be nurtured.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Jaipur Literature Festival and tour schools as part of their youth outreach program. It was so rewarding to engage with students, explore the basics of storytelling, and help them express their ideas through comics.
What excited me most was seeing students start to break free from the pressure of telling “the right story” or having “the right idea,” and instead, just have fun with the process. After all, art doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to exist.
So if you’re looking for a sign to write a terrible first draft, or make a horrendous stick figure- this is it. 💗
