TM8 VA004 is out today. On this release, each artist delivers an engaging and evocative track, from introspective wormholes to potent post-midnight moments, resulting in a nuanced and sonically textured body of work.  KØLT co-founder AYIM (@ayim.lotte ) opens the V/A with a cerebral touch on ‘Tier’, built by  a sparse soundscape and layered with a tenebrous lead and gauzy grooves. It’s followed by So_N (@solonyaa_so_n ), who begins ‘NB’ on a beatless note before descending into siren-shaped frequencies and resonant basslines. On ‘Kråkesølv’, Oslo-based artist Vilde Wahl (@vild_e_ ) evokes a bleep-ridden world led by a loopy  melody, flecked with mechanical whirrs. Simrana (@simranasounds ) sprinkles staccato beats between churning rhythms and metallic riffs on ‘Realm Ride’, forming a shadowy and quick-paced number.  anti-alias founder Emma Rak (@_____verygood ) melds throbbing melodies with oil-slicked drums and dubby atmospheres on ‘Kali Tragus’, produced with razor-sharp precision. Xia (@xiaaa.music ) closes the compilation on ‘Heart glitch’, stitching woody percussion between bird-like FX, culminating in a push-pull effect.
