From an ongoing series shot last year.
A photo series exploring the quiet and unspoken pressure faced by elder daughters who become the ābonus parentā long before they can truly understand what responsibility means. Often expected to mature far too early, to act older than their age, and to carry burdens they were never ready for.

Outside, with the Windows Down
India, 2025
Growing up, road trips were something I always looked forward to.
Like any other family, weād eventually squabble and get annoyed, either with each other or with the uncomfortable roads.
So what was it about these trips that Iād always looked forward to?
Was it my parentsā favourite radio station playing old songs?
Was it the food-court stops where Iād convince my dad to get McDonaldās?
Was it the fact that we were pretty much forced to be in such close proximity for so long?
Or was it the views outside the window?
Only to realise, it was all these little things that Iād always looked forward to, then and even now.
Coming Back to the Ocean, 2025
I first moved to London nearly half a decade ago. It took me some time to settle into the cold, and even longer to settle into the culture. But I never settled into life without the ocean, and I know I never will.

But They Looked Pretty, 2025
A piece from my photograms series that draws a parallel between a flower picked from the garden and placed in a vase eventually to wither away, and the lives of women who often let go of their freedom to become homemakers and gradually lose their agency over the years.
