The judges described this iconic Simpsons’ still wine with: “Elegant, yeasty and buttery notes, full-bodied with apricot, peach blossom, and lime pith creating a dynamic structure and classy finish.” - 95 points This is our flagship still wine, which is named after our primary vineyard site situated alongside the route the Romans first marched when arriving in England in AD 43, bringing with them the first vines. The Roman Road Chardonnay is steeped in Simpsons’ history, award-winning successes and really showcases the wonders of our winemaking, as well as exuding a true sense of place.
