Every so often, someone comes into your life and changes it in the most profound way. For me, that was Dr. Temple, or Dr. T.
When I was first diagnosed, the treatment options in Canada were extremely limited and experimental. Then we were introduced to Dr. T, and everything changed. Over the next 20 years, through five surgeries and many long stretches at Foothills Hospital, he was the constant. In Dr. T we trust ❤️
He had an extraordinary ability to lift my spirits, even on the worst days. His collection of ridiculous hats and ties may have helped 🤣
Professionally, he was a pioneer and key figure in the development of HIPEC, a treatment that saved my life and thousands of others and will be a legacy of his that continues to evolve and advance the treatment of rare cancers. What a gift to have known him. You will be missed ❤️
Just when I thought my running days were behind me, @phillipsimpson37 mentioned this thing called Hyrox??? @stader was in, @castaneda_ale was in, and we were off. Congrats to everyone that competed this weekend, what an absolute blast. ✨💪🏼
