Yesterday marked 11 years of Simply Suba Photography, which honestly feels a little surreal to say. Over the past decade I’ve had the privilege of capturing weddings, portraits, families, branding sessions and documenting some really special moments in people’s lives. I’ve been a little quieter on social media for a while, but behind the scenes I never stopped shooting or creating. Life has also shifted in beautiful ways over the years. What started as just me and a camera has grown into something that now includes my family too. My husband has been part of this journey as my second shooter for many weddings, and becoming parents has added a whole new layer of perspective to the way I see moments and memories. Our daughter has been around cameras since she learned to walk and has already started taking her own little photos. She even tells us she wants to grow up to be a photographer, which melts my heart every time. Stepping into year 11, I want to use this space a little differently. Not just to share finished photos, but also to share more of the stories, the moments behind the camera, and the perspective that comes from being behind the lens for over a decade. You’ll still see the weddings, portraits, and branding sessions I love shooting, but also a little more of what this journey has taught me along the way. I also have a few exciting things planned for this next chapter that I can’t wait to share with you soon. If you’ve supported me since day one, thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.
