I’ve been gaining some new faces around here lately, so let me re-introdue myself šŸ¤“ I’m Manders, and I’ve been a nutrition coach + health/fitness content creator since 2016. My love for film, photography, and fitness all combined inspired me to document my personal journey in Crossfit and weightlifting - and now I get to help others with their own journey. My biggest ick within the fitness & health space is fake ā€œcoachesā€, shilling products they don’t use, photoshopping/deceiving their audience in an attempt to sell something or appear a certain way. That’s just.. not it 🄓. thank you for allowing me a safe space to share my love ā™” I realize there’s a lot of privilege in that, and I don’t take it for granted. I know I was joking about showing Laney Loo on my socials for engagement, but really I hope if anything it can at least inspire someone to live authentically. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to start over to get there, or how long it takes, because being true to yourself is always worth it. Not to mention especially as a femme lesbian, i understand what it’s like to be fed the hetero-norms and told that what you’re feeling is ā€œnormalā€ in a straight relationship. update: it shouldn’t be normal to dislike your partner or avoid them šŸ˜…šŸ’€ & even though the internet is scary sometimes, im so grateful for the ability to share love/life with anyone who might not be there yet. This is popping tf off on TikTok so I want to see what my other #wlw girlies think over here🤨 my ex best friend used to say that wanting to spend that much time with your partner was ā€œunhealthyā€ or codependent but tbh I genuinely feel like it depends on the relationship? Laney Loo and I have very different schedules (she is a medic that works overnights) I sleep alone 3-4 nights a week, we have separate friend dates, separate finances etc. but you best believe if I have a free moment I’m choosing to spend it with her bc I genuinely LIKE HER. And that’s how it’s supposed to be (if you ask me anyway!!!???). I would argue it’s more abnormal to avoid hanging out w your partner, or talk shit about them..but that’s just me šŸ™ƒ #lgbtq #wlwcouple

If I had a dollar for how many times I told a client they actually need to GAIN MUSCLE to look the way they want to look- I’d be rich atp 🤣😫 Nearly 10 years ago I was barely hitting 100lbs and at the time I wanted to ā€œlook a certain wayā€, but guess what? Cutting cals + adding cardio/MORE CrossFit wasn’t the answer. And for a LARGE majority of people, this is also true. Especially if you don’t really have a large amount of body fat to lose. You gotta come to terms with the fact that your ā€œdream bodyā€ might weigh more than you think it does 🤪 @blackironnutrition #musclebuilding #bodyrecomp
