Science just looked at 500 studies… and the internet myths aren’t holding up. 👀 For years, seed oils like canola, sunflower, soybean, and sesame oil have been called “toxic,” “inflammatory,” and “bad for your heart.” But a massive scientific review found the opposite may actually be true. Here’s what researchers discovered ⬇️ 🥗 Seed oils may HELP heart health Replacing saturated fats like butter with polyunsaturated fats found in seed oils was linked to a lower risk of heart disease. 🔥 They DON’T appear to increase inflammation. Despite viral claims online, studies found no meaningful rise in inflammatory markers from linoleic acid (the omega-6 fat found in seed oils). 🍳 Cooking with them is considered safe. Normal home cooking temperatures aren’t something most people need to fear. The “toxic when heated” claims were largely unsupported. ⚖️ Seed oils themselves aren’t causing weight gain or diabetes. Research showed neutral to beneficial effects on blood sugar, insulin, and body weight when compared to other fats. 🚫 But this doesn’t mean ultra-processed foods suddenly become healthy. Chips, fast food, and packaged snacks can still negatively impact health, but it’s not fair to blame seed oils alone. The bigger picture?
