A little bit about me
I have been an entrepreneur for over 15 years and a proud mom to two beautiful children. I am a widow, a daughter, a sister, a mentor, a boss, a friend but most importantly, a child of God striving to become the best version of myself. While I’m far from perfect, I am always self-aware and intentional in my journey.
I’ve been working since I was 15 years old. Before having my children, I built a career at Fidelity Investments. Becoming a stay-at-home mom was non-negotiable for me, but so was maintaining my independence and earning my own paycheck.
I come from an immigrant household where necessities were always met, but the extras were a luxury we couldn’t afford. My parents worked tirelessly, from sunup to sundown, earning minimum wage. Every morning, I woke up for school, and they were already gone for work. Being raised by my grandmother was a blessing, but I still missed my mom.
As a child, I couldn’t understand why she missed all my school activities. I promised myself that when I became a parent, I would be a stay-at-home mom, always there to pick up my kids from school and be the first face they saw every morning. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized my mom missed those moments to ensure we had food on the table.
I inherited my work ethic from my parents. I also inherited my desire to own and grow businesses from them. I work as hard as I do not just to provide for my kids but for so many other reasons.
So, when you see me post about my business, know this: a like, a share, or a follow goes a long way. This isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s how I put food on the table and create a better future for my family.
