Bringing my mom on my first brand trip just felt right. For the longest, the whole entrepreneur, styling/creator path didn’t make sense to her… it wasn’t a “real job.” And I get it, it doesn’t look like what she was taught success is supposed to be. You know the city job to retirement pipeline…
But letting her see it up close, the work, the moving parts, what it actually takes… that meant everything to me.
Everyone’s story doesn’t have to follow the same path. I’m just happy she finally gets to see the other side of my “fake” job. 🖤
