Natural Monument – White Mulberry Tree
Planted by the Huguenots around the year 1780 to feed silkworms.
Despite its vitality and historical significance, the tree was once slated for removal.
Through great effort, it has now been preserved – for it is not only built monuments that tell our history.
The living world around us is equally worthy of appreciation and protection.
