The Catacombs are among the city’s most extraordinary spaces, a labyrinth stretching beneath the streets, where the remains of more than six million people are carefully arranged within former stone quarries.
The interpretation remains intentionally restrained. Video and audio guide visitors through the site while allowing the atmosphere, scale and emotional weight of the space to speak for themselves.
Postcolonial?
Over 18 months in the making and we are near the opening. What a moment.
A really lovely project to design with incredible personal stories, this show will make you emotional and question the colonial heritage in Europe.
Can't wait for the opening - if you are in Brussels on the 17th April, do come along.
