The $2750 purchase that somehow ended up centre stage at the @bmwccbc pop-up at the @vanautoshow 10 years later. #E24Waltz arguably doesn't deserve the prime treatment especially considering present company, but hey -- I can't deny the joy it brings me to see people's faces light up when they see an old bimmer like this still kicking around... Also the stanchions helped maintain the illusion that my car is in much better nick than it actually is. Thank you @wailingengine for the invite! More coverage to come. #BMW #BMWCCBC #vancouverautoshow #vanautoshow #vias #carsandcoffee #carmeet #E24 #635csi #sharknose #M3 #E46 #G82 #E92 #F82 #G99 #E34 #BMWM #drivefreeordie #neverstopdriving #savethemanuals #carporn #carsofinstagram #carculture #weekendcruise #carseason #vancouvercars #automotivephotography

2025 in pixels. It’s been a long freaking year, but a memorable one for sure. Between stresses from my personal life, work, and moving apartments, and just generally feeling burnt out, there are quite a lot of good stuff that happened too. Reuniting with old friends, making new ones, seeing cousins and family, getting booked for photo gigs (not just cars either!), and travelling to Japan for the first time in 30 years — all of these were the good stuff. Let’s hope more of the good stuff happens in 2026. Thank you friends for sticking around =)

2025 in pixels, wheeled edition. A collection of my favourite shots, automotive-related gatherings, and car spotting in the past year. 2025 has been an odd year. On the one hand, me dialling down my travels to the US has made me miss out on a handful of great automotive events such as Exotics @ RTC and Radwood, but in doing so I have found local opportunities (such as the fantastic @plain.club nights) that were smaller but more intimate — I get more time to shoot some cool cars, so that’s a win in my book. BaT shoots were down this year, but I started getting DMs from people looking for private shoots, which is something that I have been building towards since starting this account 3 years ago, so that’s heaps cool. I must admit though, lately I couldn’t help but feel that I hit a wall in doing this — even though this obviously still gives me a lot of joy. Something just feels amiss, and I’m not entirely sure what it is. Towards the end of the year, the combination of stress from my personal life, work, and moving apartments meant that I had to stop shooting for a bit, as I was definitely feeling the strain in both my creative muscles and literal muscles. The Japan trip was a great stress relieve, but then now I’m back at my regular job and crunching to set up for CES. Sometimes there’s just no winning. I suppose everyone goes through this sort of thing at some point, and the only way out is by pushing forward and trying new things — so onwards then. Thank you for everyone who stuck around, and hope you found some enjoyment in my little corner of nerdiness in the past year. Here’s to a better year ahead.

Kansai Some FAQs: - Tokyo has better shopping, Osaka has better food - 9 days to explore 6 cities in Japan is doable, just be prepared to W A L K - although yeah I do wish we’d stayed longer in Tokyo - My answer on the best food I’ve had in Japan changes every couple minutes. Right now I’m leaning towards those gyozas I’ve had in Hamamatsu - Yes, driving in Japan is fantastic and I wish people can drive like that in Canada - Highlight of the trip is from Hakone to Shizuoka and Hamamatsu — don’t miss these off-the-beaten-trail spots - Few things more painful in life than renting kimonos and walking 25k steps in those sandals - Yeah you know what the wagyu shabu shabu in Osaka was also pretty darn good - Definitely recommending to go in November / early December — it’s not too crowded, the temperature is perfect, and better chances of clear skies to see Mount Fuji… even though the sun goes down at 4:30pm - No, I will not tell you how many Tomicas I bought - No, we will not tell you how much we spent at Donki either - Yeah it’s definitely the Family Mart fried chicken- ohmygodstopaskingmeimpossiblequestions #Osaka #Kyoto #Kobe
