A few pictures from a recent mixing masterclass
@rueboyer hosted by @mixwiththemasters@tchad_blake took the week long session in
which time we delved into the technical and
philosophical aspects of mixing and the
wider subject of audio engineering.
It was fascinating to watch his approach at
close quarters. We were very well looked
after by the wider team who made us feel
at home and welcome. I met so many lovely
and talented people and I’m sure that in
everything I approach pertaining to music
creation in the future I will be able to call
on the knowledge and experience of this
most special of weeks .

I received this 1971 Jazz Bass about six months ago, it played really well
from the outset and has played on a few tracks and gigs already, I
thought that as she’s old a re string, deep clean and polish would be
appropriate in preparation for gigs and recordings this year.
She still looks worn in a charming way but shiny parts have more sheen
and wooden parts look more nourished especially the neck after a
generous helping of lemon oil.

Analogue Mastering Chain
In a previous post there are pictures of the people involved …..
During the recording of this EP we got the mixes to about 80%,
after a few days reflection we got together yesterday to get them
over the line - I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen such little processing
in a project which is a testament to the musicianship and craft of
@eliseandcampoblanco@jasmine.elise.c - looking forward to micing up a certain Gibson
12 string next time 😂🙈
@zakwhitefieldmusic - I’ve placed an order for some high end
cutting edge gaffer tape 😄

An EP is on the way! We just spent a week in @le_studio_du_noyer with @simonjday_ Chris Walker and @salome_brnd_24_ working on it. Big thank you to them for their hard work and input. Looking forward to sharing the new music with you all in the near future 🎵
