Things are happening!
Last fall (ish) I attended a show called Escape by @diavolo_la and I fell in love with their work. To my surprise, they were holding a week long training intensive at the beginning of January that gives people a little taste of their creative process. I knew immediately I had to go to this intensive.
So fast forward to the beginning of this month and I am smack in the middle of this thing. I learn that they are holding auditions right after the intensive. I said hey why not, let’s see what happens. I went, I auditioned, and I thought I did pretty good, but this is a whole new thing for me so I didn’t want to get any hopes up. Well… A week later I received a call from a random LA number right before a concert I was at was about to start- and boy am I glad I answered it. It was @jacques_heim_dvlo , Diavolo’s director and founder. To my absolute delight, he said that they would love to work with me!!
Flash forward again to now… I’ve been attending their weekly classes, (which are open to anyone that wants to participate btw check out diavolo.org for details) and I am so excited for what this opportunity may hold. I’ve already met some incredible people in the company and at the intensive, and I am learning so much from them in this crazy new world. Thank you all for welcoming me into your space and being so supportive and encouraging.
I also want to give a huge thank you to my coach, Verda, and her daughter, Chelsea, who I have been taking dance classes from and for introducing me to this company.
Stay tuned for more about this next chapter in my life, I feel this is just the beginning.

ESCAPE 2025. Oh my goodness. What a ride it has been. What a blessing, what an honor, what a joy. It’s hard to find the words to fully express the gratitude- but here’s a quick story to try.
“Fear is the passenger”. Diva, let me tell you, the first time we had to do this show full out, the first time I had to JUMP off of that big bitch Traj, holy shit I had never been more scared in my LIFE. But for the first time, fear wasn’t in control. She was present, but I was in the drivers seat. I trusted myself, my capabilities, and my team so much, that fear stopped clawing for the wheel, and just danced along side me. Keeping me present and intentional in every move. And I saw fear for what it truly is- just a small part of us that is afraid and needs a lil extra love and support.
And to my Diavolo family- I’ll die for you.
