This film is about a young horse master-to-be spending her 15th birthday training a horse on her own.
As a Mongolian girl myself, I’ve always wanted to make a film about the young blood in contemporary Inner Mongolia - how we Millennials/GenZ inherit the legacy and blend it with the new era’s vision. Thus when Nowness came to me with this marvelous idea of portraying a young horse master girl, I started to picture the story instantly. October chills like Antarctic in Hulunbuir, but the brilliant crew, we made it with all-hearted dedications - we all came home as Mongolian Warriors.🐎🔥
So this is the film. Definitely one of my favorite films of all time.
