From our very first issue of Margot, I wanted to set the tone for our style direction: individual style with a strong point of view. Sheryl Roberts was the perfect woman to start with. Sheryl is a vintage curator and seller. She searches the world for extraordinary pieces for her clients, guided by a deep knowledge of fashion history, designers, eras, construction, tailoring, and, of course, her impeccable eye. Think vibrant prints, daring pattern mixing, exquisite tailoring, and pieces with real personality. What I especially admire is Sheryl's respect for vintage. Every garment is carefully restored before it reaches the rack—repaired, cleaned, revived, and thoughtfully brought back to life. These are pieces with history and a kind of beauty that only comes with time. Sheryl is fabulous ❤️ - Simone 💋 🎥 @day.elwattar 📷 Gigi Stoll and courtesy of @indigostylevintage #VintageCurator #StylishWomen #MargotMagazine

Margot Moments: We stepped into the worlds of women who are creating and living with intention. I love a doer. I asked my dear friend, the wonderful Walda Laurenceau, if she would join me on this adventure to discover women and the worlds they’ve built. To my utter delight, she said yes. And with the lovely, oh-so-talented filmmaker @day.elwattar alongside us, the three of us set off. We created a signature scent at @fragranceshopnewyork with scent expert Claire Lewis. We arranged local blooms with the floral designer and owner of @buunch , Caroline Bailey, in New York's flower district. Took a quick (and very chic) ballroom dance class @bigappleballroom with the elegant Gretchen Fenston and her dance partner @michaelthechoi Stepped into the deeply sensory world of aromatherapy with Amy Anthony @nycaromatica Had ice cream for breakfast in Harlem with the dynamic Petrushka Bazin Larsen, owner and creator @sugarhillicecream And finished @thelocavorenyc with one of the most impressive champions of independent businesses, Caroline Weaver. Every woman we met was deeply passionate, generous in sharing, and building something meaningful. Worlds that, quite simply, make you smile. Thank you to each of them for opening their doors to us. Walda and I will be back this summer… and we cannot wait. If you know a woman in New York (or within a two-hour radius) whose world we should step into, please send her our way. ( DM would be best) We’re looking for the Margot spirit: independent, curious, passionate. So much gratitude Simone 💋 Margot Moments - Episodes 1-6 Head to highlights to view all 🎥 day.elwattar 📷 @rcallahanphoto

This week I’ve been thinking about tattoos. I have never had an interest in having one. I’ve always wondered how one chooses something so permanent. And yet, over time, meeting remarkable women — women with confidence, and a strong sense of self — has softened my perspective. Their tattoos felt like part of their story. And that changed things for me. I will never choose to have one myself, but I’ve come to appreciate them in a way I hadn’t before. Do you have a tattoo — or have you ever considered one? And has your view changed over time? — Simone 💋 Thursday Reflections 📷 I applied temporary tattoos and enjoyed them for the day, but was ever so happy to be able to remove them in the shower.

Ah, yes, my favorite meal since I left home as a young girl. Sardines on toast was my go-to meal throughout my 20s. It was my ramen. 'Sardines on toast' is also a phrase I use. I use it when I come across something, usually expensive, that I love and must have. I always ask myself, 'Am I willing to eat lots of sardines on toast for this beautiful thing or experience?' Is there something you’ve happily sacrificed for — something that truly mattered to you? What's your sardines on toast? -Simone 💋 Thursday Reflections - Sardines on Toast Thank you @roseleprestyle

This week I turned 57, and I’ve been thinking about aging. When I created Margot, I never wanted you to see age. I wanted you to see joy, passion, curiosity — women who are thriving. Interestingly, about 75% of the women featured on Margot are over 50. And yet what stands out is never their age — it’s their energy, their confidence, their way of living. Of course, aging isn’t always easy. Life throws things our way. But even so, I find myself drawn to the richness that comes with time. Society may prefer our younger selves — but I believe it’s up to us to decide who we become. And if you ask me… Aging is cool. How do you feel about aging — are you embracing it? — Simone 💋 #ThursdayReflections - Aging is Cool Images 📷 Slide 1 and 11 @shanajade ( 2026 ) Slide 4 ( Moi with my darling mother Dimitra and Auntie Frossa) 2020 Slide 8 @martynthompsonstudio Paris, 1988

This week I’ve been thinking about the idea of natural. Not as a statement — but as a return. There’s something quietly freeing about embracing what already exists. In a world that often encourages more, I find myself drawn to less. Less artifice. More ease. More me. This feels like the Margot way. Have you embraced your natural hair color? Or are you thinking about it? — Simone 💋 P.S: Oops noticed a typo. Next time I will wear my 👓 Thursday Reflections 📷 @shanajade

Charlie Rosen 🐶 2015 - 2025 The world needs more beings like Charlie. She may have been a Mini Golden Doodle, but everyone who met her felt her love and wisdom. Charlie brought sweetness and tenderness into people's lives; even those who weren't dog lovers were taken in by her charm. If you had steak or caviar (Charlie was quite the foodie), she would shower you with extra affection. She rarely barked, and she didn’t shed, She would listen to our conversations and enjoy my made-up ridiculous songs. And for the past five years, she was my best mate and rarely left my side. Rest in peace, my beautiful Charlie Girl. 💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️
