I can’t believe I’m already more than halfway through my first pregnancy. It’s unlocked new wonders of how intricate & sophisticated God designed human life.
Thankfully I haven’t been very sick either (I know that’s not the experience of most women and I can only encourage those women to just survive & get through the day). I took advantage of feeling good most days but definitely not pushing myself unnecessarily.
Surprisingly, it was much easier working out in the second tri than the first. My energy was non-existent, I wasn’t able to lift as heavy, there were many times I felt like I was going to pass out. It feels really good to move my body even though my body is naturally storing fat how and where it wants (which means loosing muscle definition 🥲) but it’s all a blessing in my eyes. 🤰🏾🩵🤍
growing something beautiful with the love of my life🌿. the past few weeks have revealed a lot, especially that God holds me fast. but also that my husband is more than I could have ever dreamed of. in deep grief and sorrow, he has showed up, not just for me but all of my family. randomly planting flowers in my aunt’s yard, holding a grieving mother during some of the worst days ever, holding me in the middle of the night while crying but also fixing me a bowl of cereal 🥹 I just love him so much and carrying half of me and half of him is such an honor and blessing.
