Ciao Hong Kong!❤️It was a wonderful experience to be at @complexcon with the @bape_japan team at @bapegallery . Truly unforgettable days. I even had the opportunity to check around Art Basel and I will be coming back home from this wonderful trip so full of inspiration. I was quite locked in hotel catching up with urgent work but overall I enjoyed every second. I will be back end of April for Licensing Show so I am not too sad to leave. This historic project started from 3 friends chatting in a small parking lot here in Kawasaki and we got to the Heart of the Holy See. It’s truly going to be an unforgettable day and unforgettable Christmas for me, my Loved ones, my business partner @poonehmohajer and the whole @tokidokibrand family. I grew up in a Catholic Family and to see my Mum so joyful and proud of me, meant immensely to me. I left my neighborhood in Rome (Nuovo Salario 💛❤️) in 2001, lived in Milan, Los Angeles, Tokyo and coming back to my beloved hometown in such an unforgettable way and Place is just unbelievable for us. Immensely Thank You to the Holy See 🇻🇦 for giving me this unique opportunity and for believing into my Art, Vision and Luce. I am so proud to introduce Nipponina, the mascot for the Embassy of Japan 🇯🇵 in Italy @ambgiappone_italia , as we celebrate 160 years of diplomatic friendship between the two countries I hold dear 🇯🇵🇮🇹. She is the best friend of Italiachan, the character I designed for the Italian Pavilion @italyexpo2025osaka at Expo Osaka @italyexpo2025osaka . Together, they learn and teach about the culture, traditions, and languages of their respective countries that share a mutual love for. I recently returned to my hometown, Rome💛❤️, where I was honored to be invited by the Embassy to introduce Nipponina during the reception commemorating His Majesty the Emperor’s Birthday. I had the privilege of meeting the new Ambassador, Her Excellency Ono-san, and her amazing team, all of whom participated in this creative journey. It was so exciting to see all the friends from the Expo Osaka adventure again in Rome, including fellow representatives from the pavilions of Italy 🇮🇹 @italyexpo2025osaka , 🇻🇦 Vatican City @vaticanexpo2025 , and San Marino 🇸🇲 @sanmarinoexpo2025 I would like to express my gratitude for organizing for me two speeches on the theme “The Impact of Japanese Culture on the Development of @tokidokibrand Art” at prestigious venues like Università di Roma La Sapienza and the Japan Foundation – Istituto di Cultura Giapponese. I am very excited to announce my exhibition in Lucca 💙 🇮🇹 during @luccacomicsandgames , taking place from October 29 to November 2 at the beautiful Church of San Cristoforo, a stunning example of 12th-century Romanico style architecture. This heartfelt exhibition showcases my interpretation of some of the most iconic representations of the Holy Mary, or Madonne. I have explored various artistic styles, ranging from realism to kawaii, and from street art to graphic design. Each piece is a tribute to this significant figure who brings joy and hope to millions around the world, especially to my own mother, who raised me to love and cherish the Holy Mary.
