I hope I never forget how healing the last few weeks have been for me. To be able to widen my perspective and come across and be around such a variety of GOOD people was wholehearted needed. Necessary.
I also hope I never take for granted how fortunate I am to have these experiences. To share these experiences.
Addendum - Jamaica:
Since playing in Coming to England, I have found myself sharing my family story more than ever before. In doing so, I have started to ask more questions, to understand things better, to learn from and appreciate my family's story in a deeper way. Most importantly, I've been able to hold the gift of inspiration that comes from knowing your history. This trip came at the right time. And I came back richer.
