Belated New Years Post.
2025 was...a lot. It reminded me that you really never know what is around the corner.
At the end of the year though I'm feeling really grateful - that we got through the year largely in one piece, that we live in a city with an amazing medical system and for all the doctors and nurses who got us through a really tough period.
But more than this I'm grateful for our family (chosen and blood).
This year was a year of friends and family. We had family visiting from Scotland (and around Australia), which was amazing; I was super excited to share my book with people across the country, in particular hosting events with close friends; we had lots of adventures with friends (concerts, adventures, theatre shows, and nice chills); and got to visit and hang with folks we love across Europe.
And then of course when James got sick we were overwhelmed with love and support - wether you called to check in, visited from interstate to help with care, messaged, gave advice, provided a shoulder to cry on, lent us a car for months, made us food, consulted with other doctors to get advice, or sent messages of love and support, we really appreciate you all so much. It was and remains truly amazing.
Last, I'm grateful to be sharing my life with
@canberrajames and
@iamdenominator , and that our little family keeps getting stronger and stronger. Love you both, and looking forward to more adventures, although hopefully fewer to the hospital.
Here is a random collection of photos from the year.
