So um die 200 Gläser werden sortiert, ihre Frequenzen nochmal neu gemessen und ermittelt und für eine ordentliche Aufbewahrung vorbereitet – mit DYI Hülsen und Lagersystemen, damit sie nach Frequenzen und ihren Kompositionen sortiert aufbewahrt werden können. Die Gläser sollen auch ausgeliehen werden können, um meine Stücke zu spielen. Eine große Muße-Arbeit, ein gewisser Abschluss von einem Kapitel vielleicht, oder vielleicht erst der Beginn von einem neuen Kapitel. Wer weiß. Eventuell wird es auch eine Frequenzbibliothek geben, damit zukünftige Komponist:innen damit arbeiten können – aber das weiß ich noch nicht. Auf jeden Fall ein nicht kleiner Aufwand, bevor es im Sommer dann nach Venedig zum @centro_tedesco geht für längere Zeit. — Around 200 glasses are being sorted, their frequencies remeasured and determined, and prepared for proper storage – with DYI sleeves and storage systems so they can be organized according to frequencies and their compositions. The glasses will also be available for loan to perform my pieces. A work of great patience, perhaps the closing of one chapter, or maybe the beginning of a new one. Who knows. There may also be a frequency library, so that future composers can work with it – but that’s not certain yet. Workshop mit Zwei singende Landschaftsmaler (Simon Rummel und Ketonge) – ”Aus Nichts was machen“ @simon.rummel @ketongemitonke ...ausgehend von einem leeren, weißen Raum in der Vorstellung, quasi einer neuen Wohnung, in der noch keine Möbel sind, aber in der die Zeit vergeht, suchen wir gemeinsam nach Einrichtungsideen. Bringt euer künstlerisches Mobiliar mit, also eigene Ideen, Arbeiten, Instrumente, Gedanken, Probleme.... oder einfach auch gar nichts! Wir schauen, was wir damit machen können, durch gemeinsames Improvisieren, durch Erzählen, Überlegen. Ein kleines Archiv von „Klassikern“ der Geschichte, die aus Nichts oder aus sehr wenig etwas gemacht haben, wird von uns mitgebracht, zum gemeinsamen Anschauen und Anhören, vielleicht zur Inspiration. Simon Rummel (* 1978 in Trier) ist ein deutscher Improvisationsmusiker (Klavier, Geige, Orgel), Komponist und Klangkünstler. One will hear harmonies generated by various instruments I have built, including a microtonal harmonica, an organ, electric tone generators, and self-playing hurdy-gurdies. I have built these instruments over the past 15 years, and at Walkmühle they will sound together for the first time. For this purpose, they are dismantled into individual modules and newly arranged throughout the exhibition spaces. A large central bellows system supplies them with air. Most of the instruments will hang from the ceiling; some of them move. One enters, as it were, a large acoustic kaleidoscope.”
